At Kue, we believe your network belongs to you and so does your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights over it. We've written it to be honest and readable, not buried in legalese.


By using Kue, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.


  1. Who We Are

    Kue is an AI-powered warm introduction platform that helps professionals discover and leverage their existing relationships. Our registered contact is hello@trykue.com. References to "Kue", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the Kue team.


  2. What Data We Collect

    2.1 Information You Provide Directly
    Account information: name, email address, professional role, and company
    Profile information you choose to add (e.g., bio, LinkedIn URL)
    Communications with us via email or support channels
    Feedback, survey responses, and testimonials

    2.2 Information from Connected Accounts
    Kue's core features depend on connecting your Gmail and/or LinkedIn accounts. When you connect these accounts, we access:
    From Gmail:
    Email metadata: sender, recipient, date, and subject line
    Contact information derived from email activity (names, email addresses, company domains)
    Relationship signals: frequency of communication, recency, directionality
    We do NOT read, store, or process the body/content of your emails.
    From LinkedIn:
    First-degree connections: name, title, company, and public profile data
    Mutual connections for path-finding
    Professional history signals used to enrich your network graph
    We do not scrape LinkedIn. We access only data provided through LinkedIn's official data export.

    2.3 Automatically Collected Data
    Usage data: features accessed, searches performed, workflows completed
    Log data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, timestamps
    Analytics: aggregated usage patterns to improve the Service
    Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

  3. How We Use Your Data

    We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
    3.1. To provide and operate the Kue platform and its features
    3.2. To build and maintain your personal network graph (relationship mapping)
    3.3.To generate warm introduction paths and draft suggestions
    3.4.To personalize your search results and recommendations
    3.5.To communicate with you about your account, updates, and new features
    3.6.To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
    3.7. To analyze usage patterns and improve the Service
    3.8. To comply with legal obligations
    3.9. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

  4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / DPDP Compliance)

    For users in the European Union or jurisdictions with similar data protection laws, our legal bases for processing your data are:
    Contract performance: processing necessary to provide you with the Service
    Legitimate interests: improving the Service, preventing fraud, ensuring security
    Consent: for optional integrations (e.g., LinkedIn, Gmail), analytics, and marketing communications
    Legal obligation: when required by applicable law
    For users in India, we comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data as described in Section 8.

  5. How We Share Your Data

    We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

    5.1 Service Providers
    We work with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate Kue, including:
    Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting and data storage)
    Analytics platforms (aggregated, non-personally identifiable data)
    Payment processors (billing information — we do not store full card details)
    Email delivery services (for transactional and product communications)
    These vendors are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

    5.2 Legal Requirements
    We may disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of users or the public.

    5.3 Business Transfers
    If Kue is acquired, merged, or goes through a restructuring, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email and/or in-app notice and give you the opportunity to delete your account before any such transfer.

  6. Data Retention

    We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Specifically:
    Account and profile data: retained for the lifetime of your account plus 90 days after deletion
    Network graph data (contact metadata, relationship signals): deleted within 30 days of account deletion
    Usage logs: retained for up to 12 months for security and analytics purposes
    Billing records: retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations
    You may request deletion of your data at any time. See Section 8 for how.

  7. Cookies and Tracking

    Kue uses cookies and similar technologies to:
    Keep you logged in across sessions
    Remember your preferences
    Understand how users interact with the platform
    Improve performance and reliability
    Types of cookies we use:
    Essential cookies: required for the Service to function (cannot be disabled)
    Analytics cookies: help us understand usage patterns (can be opted out)
    Preference cookies: remember your settings and choices
    You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to use Kue's core features.

  8. Your Rights and Choices

    Regardless of where you are located, we honor the following rights:

    8.1 Access and Portability
    You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including your network graph and account information, at any time by emailing hello@trykue.com.

    8.2 Correction
    You can update your account information directly in your profile settings. If you need to correct data we hold that isn't editable in-product, email us.

    8.3 Deletion
    You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data and network graph within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data derived from your usage (e.g., feature engagement statistics with no personal identifiers) may be retained.

    8.4 Disconnecting Integrations
    You can disconnect Gmail or LinkedIn at any time from your account settings. When you disconnect, we will stop syncing data from that account and will delete the associated contact metadata and relationship signals within 30 days.

    8.5 Opt-Out of Communications
    You can opt out of marketing and newsletter communications at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email we send. You cannot opt out of transactional communications (e.g., account security alerts, billing receipts).

    8.6 Objection and Restriction
    If you are located in the EU or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and the right to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

  9. Children's Privacy

    Kue is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at hello@trykue.com.

  10. International Data Transfers

    Kue is operated from India. If you are accessing Kue from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

  11. Security

    We take data security seriously. Our measures include:
    Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
    Access controls limiting employee access to personal data to a need-to-know basis
    Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
    Third-party vendor security assessments
    No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to hello@trykue.com. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

  12. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy as our product evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice and, where required, seek your consent before applying changes.
